Why We No Longer Accept Credit Cards or PayPal

Recently, many of you have asked why we do not support payment methods like Credit/Debit Cards or PayPal. It is a valid question, and today, we want to explain the “Why” behind this decision.

Selling digital products is different from selling physical items. Delivery is instant, and usage begins immediately. Unfortunately, the digital goods industry is often targeted by a specific type of abuse known as “Friendly Fraud” or chargeback fraud.

Why We Removed Cards and PayPal

While the vast majority of our customers are honest and loyal, we have faced a significant volume of issues with these specific payment processors.

Here is the reality of what happens:

  1. Fake Disputes: A user purchases a subscription, receives the login details instantly, and uses the service for the full duration.
  2. Post-Expiry Chargebacks: After the subscription expires—or sometimes days after receiving the product—the user files a dispute with their bank or PayPal, claiming “Unauthorized Transaction” or “Item Not Received.”
  3. Financial Penalty: When this happens, not only do we lose the money for the sale, but the payment processor also charges us a heavy Chargeback Penalty Fee (often ranging from $15 to $25 per incident).

These disputes are often automated and difficult for digital merchants to fight, even when we have proof of delivery.

How This Decision Benefits You (The Honest Customer)

When a business faces high fraud rates, they usually have two choices: Raise prices significantly to cover the cost of the stolen goods and penalty fees, or remove the payment methods that facilitate the fraud.

We chose to remove the payment methods. By removing Credit Cards and PayPal, we eliminate the massive costs associated with fake disputes.

This allows us to:
